Welcome to Fargo, North Dakota
Fargo/Moorhead is the largest metropolitan area between Minneapolis,
Minnesota and Spokane, Washington. Recently, in several magazines,
Fargo/Moorhead has been named one of the most stress free metropolitan
areas in America with low unemployment and crime rates, as well
as a thriving economy. Fargo/Moorhead is a city that is vigorous,
and full of life, in the midst of prosperous and abundant farmland. Here are just a few of the fun and interesting things to do and see in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

Bergquist Pioneer Cabin The Bergquist cabin was built in 1870 by Swedish immigrant John Bergquist, and is the oldest home in Moorhead on its original site. The cabin opens up for tours in June, during the Scandinavian Hjemkomst Festival, as well as by appointment. Bonanzaville A recreated pioneer village that signifies life in the Red River Valley during the 19th century. Celebrity Walk Of Fame Come to the Fargo/Moorhead area and walk with the celebrities. This attraction is free of charge and allows you to walk in the presence of over 100 celebrities signatures, hand prints and foot prints. This attraction includes celebrities such as, Garth Brooks, Neil Diamond, and KISS just to name a few. Century 10 Cinema Located just four blocks north of the Holiday Inn of Fargo. Century 10 Cinema offers new release movies in a comfortable setting. Comstock House The Comstock house, a Victorian home built in 1882, was the home to state senator, Solomon G. Comstock. Comstock is considered to be the founder of Moorhead State University, along with wife Sarah, who is said to have started the first public library in the Moorhead area. This home is open for tours, and is still, to this day, filled with the original furnishings. Fargo Air Museum The Fargo Air Museum opened in 2001 and is committed to educating the community about aviation, preserve local aviation heritage, enthuse the public about freedom, thrill and the excitement of flight, as well as awaken the idea of patriotism in today's youth. An aircraft you will see at the museum is the F2G-1D - the worlds only flying SuperCorsair and one of the three existing in the world. Fargo Theatre The 1926 restored Fargo Theatre is the area's only remaining vintage movie palace with a vaudeville stage. The theatre serves as a multi-purpose facility with capacity for film showings, live productions and meetings, and is a registered historic landmark. It also houses a restored theatre pipe organ, the "Mighty Wurlitzer." FARGODOME The FARGODOME is the largest contiguous exhibit hall space in North
Dakota, hosting top-name concerts, ice shows, festivals, rodeos,
trade shows, craft shows, circuses and fairs, football and basketball
games, other sporting events and much more. Convention and meeting
rooms are available for rent. Visit the FARGODOME web site for more
information. See how one man's dream became a reality. Robert Asp of Moorhead dreamed of building a replica Viking Ship and sailing it to Norway, the land of his ancestors. Photographs, recordings and an award-winning documentary chronicles the construction of the 76-foot, hand-built Viking ship Hjemkomst and its incredible 6,000-mile voyage across the Atlantic in 1982. The ship is on display at the Center, along with other national traveling exhibits. North Dakota Horse Park From wire to wire, the North Dakota Horse Park promises plenty of events to enhance this summer's racing meet. Plains Art Museum Red River Valley Fair The Red River Valley Fair, held in June, is a fun and exciting time to come and enjoy performances by nationally known entertainers, as well as enjoying horticulture, livestock, and arts and crafts shows. Red River Valley Speedway The Red River Valley Speedway, open April - August, features stock cars and sprint cars as well the World of Outlaws. Red River Zoo A state-of-the-art zoo with 60 animal species on more than 30 acres of natural habitat. Children will enjoy the animal petting areas and a ride on the restored 1928 Diederich Family Carousel Roger Maris Museum The museum follows the career of illustrious Fargo athlete Roger Maris. As a New York Yankee, Maris acquired fame when he hit 61 home runs during the 1961 season, breaking the long-standing record of the great Babe Ruth. At the exhibit you'll see actual film of Roger's last 12 homers of 1961, along with his uniforms, baseball equipment and other memorabilia. Skateland Skate Center Skateland provides the finest in roller and in-line skating along with a full service snack bar, fun shop, amusement games and skate store. Specializing in birthday parties, private parties, group rates and family discounts on Sundays. Sports Bubble The Sports Bubble is the area’s only indoor driving range.
It hosts indoor sports leagues and welcomes parties. Two golf simulators
available year-round. The Sports Bubble offers seasonal specials,
call for more information. The Children's Museum offers hands-on discovery for the entire
family. The museum is home to more than 50 exhibits, including a
children's railroad, mini golf and carousel, providing a fun and
enjoyable family experience. Look for the volcano at this brand new outdoor amusement park featuring
go-karts, adventure mini-golf, arcade and snack bar. Available for
private parties. Looking for a place to enjoy a great theatrical performance? Trollwood Park/Performing Arts School offers amazing outdoor performances to enjoy during the summer months. West Acres 14 Cinema Located just one block south of the Holiday Inn of Fargo. West Acres 14 Cinema offers new release movies in a comfortable setting. West
Acres Mall Located directly across the street from the Fargo Holiday Inn.
West Acres Mall is home for numerous stores and specialty shops.
